While making coffee people generally get confused about how coffee ground should be added to make a perfect cup of brew for themselves and for others too.

While making coffee it generally has in mind how many tablespoons of coffee should be added.

In this article, we are going to remove all your doubts about the measurements that will help you to make a perfect coffee.

It has been said that all coffee grounds and beans do not weigh the same, it varies from beans to beans and the type of plant they are grown in. But this point comes when we are talking about the exact weight.

The weight is also determined by the density of the product as one tablespoon of honey will weigh more than a tablespoon of sugar.

How Many Grams of Coffee in a Tablespoon?

Here is the table of conversion of one tablespoon into grams:

  • 1 tablespoon= 5 grams
  • 2 tablespoon= 10 grams
  • 3 tablespoon= 15 grams

Ways to Measure Coffee

Coffee is measured in two ways; one is by weight and by volume.

Ways to measure coffee

The most consistent and reliable method to get good results is by using weight. Using this method helps you get the perfect combination of ingredients.

The standard ratio used for making coffee is 1:15 to 1:17 which means for every 15 to 17 grams of water use 1 gram of coffee ground. Using more water than this will lead to weak coffee and using more coffee will lead to a bitter taste.

Another measuring option is using volume which means using scoops that come with coffee grounds.

Making coffee would become fun if you will use perfect measurements like 1 tablespoon means 15 grams of coffee for making your delicious coffee brew.

It would be a little difficult in the beginning but slowly you will get used to it and people will always remember you for the delicious cup of brew that you made for them.

Maybe you will get the tag of a perfect coffee maker.
